Position Overview
We are seeking an in-person Weekend Software Engineer Consultant to help our Director—and sometimes a Project Manager—understand concepts in AI, robotics, and construction automation.
This is a discussion-focused role. You won’t be required to write full production code, but you may provide light pseudocode or simple examples when helpful.
What You’ll Do
- Lead 4-hour, in-person weekend consultation sessions
- Meet 1-on-1 with the Director (or small group)
- Discuss topics such as:
- Robotics & AI applications in construction
- Converting CAD plans into robot instructions
- AI-assisted painting, excavation, and workflow automation
- Robotics fundamentals and system design
- China’s robotics industry and related policy
- RoboCon product concepts (roboconinc.com/products)
- Explain how AI components function within robotic systems
- Reference and discuss our licensed patent:
U.S. Patent US12379713B1 – “Construction Workstation with Rotatable Platform”

- Answer follow-up questions or clarify concepts after sessions

Requirements
- Master’s degree in Engineering, CS, Robotics, or related field
- Mandarin Chinese fluency
- Understanding of AI concepts
- Python knowledge
- Optional: Robotics or mechatronics familiarity
- Ability to explain technical ideas simply
- Must be available in person on weekends in Saratoga
